Cannabis Regulatory Compliance and Support
The Cannabis Act, which came into force in 2018 in Canada, established a highly regulated supply chain to ensure Canadians have access to cannabis products that meet strict quality control standards. Since its adoption, cannabis products have been legally sold by licensed retailers regulated by their respective provincial governments.
To cultivate, process, and sell cannabis, businesses must obtain a license issued by Health Canada, and in some cases, a permit from the Canada Revenue Agency. Products containing 0.3% THC or more must also display mandatory health warnings and feature a provincial excise stamp confirming their legality.
